From September 2nd in 2019, New WINE Interface will be released.
As with previous systems, you can search the materials held by the Waseda University Library (books, magazines, etc.) and check the holdings (where they are located in the library). In addition, the new WINE enable you to search electronic resources subscribed by Waseda University as well as journal articles and more.
Discover not only Waseda's holdings but Keio's holdings
・The URL of WINE will also change in line with the interface switching on September 2nd, 2019.
・The old (current) WINE can be accessed for a while from September 2nd, but the information will not be updated. Also, "View Your Record" function will replaced by a new function on the new WINE.
・“WINE Plus” and “e-Journal e-Book List” will be out of service on September 1st. The contents of these services will be searchable with the new WINE.
Please access to Waseda University Library website top page. Then select "Search & Find" > "WINE" on the global menu. This link connect the old (current) WINE until September 1st, and the new WINE after September 2nd.
You can also search WINE directly from search window on our library website top page or search window on our E-Resource Portal top page.
If you belong to Waseda University, please sign in to WINE. If you sign in, you can:
- browse ALL results including restricted contents.
- view and renew the due dates of the materials you borrowed via "My Library".
- place a hold on an item that is currently out on loan or has had a hold placed on it.
- apply request for Inter-library Loan Service of actual materials between Waseda libraries, or Waseda and Keio libraries
* The operation method of reservation and renewal are partially different from old WINE.
* Some service application platforms will change from MyWaseda to WINE from September 2nd, 2019.
You can check the books you are borrowing and books in reservation. Also you can renew your loan period.
From September 2nd, rules about renewal methods and overdue penalty will change. For more information, please refer to the following webpage.
If you want to search for materials by book title, journal title, author name of book, etc., please select "Library Catalog and E-Resources".
Library Catalog and E-Resources: You can search by book titles or journal titles. Searchable titles are library holdings (physical books or physical journals) and subscribed digital materials (e-journals or e-books).
Articles: You can search by article titles, book chapters, reference entries and more. It searches various databases such as "The Japanese Periodicals Index (Zassaku)" by NDL or Web of Science.
Everything: You can search the "Library Catalog and E-Resources" and the "Articles" at the same time.
Library Catalog and E-Resources(SOKEI): You can search Keio University libraries' holdings and Waseda University libraries' holdings at the same time. You can discover the materials held only by Keio University in this search scope. On the other hand, in "Library Catalog and E-Resources", you can check the Keio's holdings only if Waseda has it's material.
Limited Search: You can search for materials with limited uses and types such as "Course Reserve", "Waseda Dissertation" and "Special Collections".
From the "Tweak you results" on the left column of the screen, you can narrow down the search results by availabiltiy of the material, rsource type, language and so on.
You can switch the screen to the "Advanced Search" mode by clicking the button on the right of the search window. With Advanced Search, you can search with specific search fields such as titles, author names, subjects, etc.
In the example screen above, "Item in place / Loanable" indicates that this book is currently on the bookshelf of the library and you can borrow this item. Also this screen indicates that the call number of this item is "F361.1 00241".
