収録内容 / Contents
Journal Citation Reports（JCR)は、以下の2つの版が毎年刊行されます。
- JCR Science Edition: 科学技術分野の9,000誌以上のデータを収録
- JCR Social Sciences Edition： 社会科学分野の3,400誌以上のデータを収録

JCRでは下記の指標を提供しています。
- Impact factor: 特定の１年間において、ある特定雑誌に掲載された論文が平均的にどれくらい頻繁に引用されているかを示す尺度。雑誌の影響度を表す。同分野の他の雑誌と、その重要度を相対的に比較することが可能。
- Immediacy index: ある特定雑誌においてその年に掲載された論文が、いかに多く同年中に引用されているかを示す指数。先端分野の雑誌の比較に有用。
- Articles counts: 特定の1年間における原著論文および総説論文の数。
- Cited half-life: 引用された雑誌がその年に受けた総被引用回数を年度別に遡って、その累積百分比が50％にあたる年にいたるまでを算出。図書館にとっては、蔵書構築、保存年数を決定する際の判断資料に、出版社にとっては、他分野の競合雑誌との比較、編集方針の見直しに利用可。
- Source data: どの雑誌が総説論文または原著論文を多く出版しているか、その原著・総説の割合、およびそれぞれいくつ論文を引用しているか等の情報を提供。
Journal Citation Reports is published annually in two editions.
- JCR Science Edition contains data from over 9,000 journals in science and technology.
- JCR Social Sciences Edition contains data from over 3,400 journals in the social sciences.

JCR offers the following indicators:
- Impact factor: The average number of times articles from the journal published in the past two years have been cited in the JCR year.
- Immediacy index: The average number of times an article is cited in the year it is published.
- Articles counts: The number of articles published in a journal in a particular year or years.
- Cited half-life: The median age of the articles that were cited in the JCR year.
- Source data: The number of citable items in the the JCR year. Citable items are further divided into articles (i.e., research articles) and reviews.

JCRのデータを調査研究のためにお使いになることはさしつかえありませんが、その結果を雑誌等に公表する際には、図書館にご相談ください。データの不用意な公表は著作権を侵害するおそれがあります。また、研究業績等の評価を行うツールであるため、調査結果を公表する際にはデータを慎重に扱う必要もあります。
